FAQ
although every photoshoot is unique, you will receive at least twenty hand-edited images with most packages. elopements & micro-weddings receive hundreds of photographs. additional artwork is available for purchase, please enquire for a detailed pricing guide.
what if i don't want my photos shared on social?
02.
no problem! 'private but not secret' photos are my way of documenting parenthood for you to share, without revealing your children's faces on social media. if you would enjoy this style as part of your gallery, please note this in your enquiry. if you would prefer your artwork not to be featured on the radical nuance website and socials, please email: hello@radicalnuance.co.uk
what happens once a date is booked?
03.
following your enquiry, a few questions will narrow down the scope of your experience i.e. photos-only or full suite with in-home styling. once your session location, day / time has been agreed, and retainer settled, your date will be secured. i am here to help with coordinating clothes and have seasonal blogs with links to outfit inspiration.
one week before your shoot, the remaining balance is due.
what happens if there's bad weather?
04.
depending on the severity, most sessions will push through and embrace a bit of british drizzle. of course the same goes for seattle without sun! the rain gives couples the opportunity to cosy up together while children are most often ecstatic at the chance to puddle jump.
should it become too chilly, a local pub or tea house can offer some respite from the elements. think: a quiet corner and recollections of family and relationship firsts, sharing secrets and silly stories, feeding the dog under the table — those kinds of honest moments.
where will my session be and for how long?
05.
up to you! i have some favourite spots dotted around london after many years of living in the city, but if you have a personal place in mind i'm all for it. my sessions range from thirty minute limited seasonal sessions to up to three hours for a family or lifestyle experience, providing flexibility for every shoot. please enquire for more details.
popular locations include richmond park, battersea park, clapham common, borough, exmouth market, and king's cross. relative travel fees apply to communities outside zones 1-4.
based in the pacific northwest? i am often in town, always exploring the west coast so i'm excited to offer sessions in the neighbourhoods i enjoyed most growing up.
what is your style?
06.
my photo style is inspired by the muses in my life. years of documenting loved ones, all of whom are genuine, silly, and strong. i view my work as an opportunity to connect with my community and create art. my photojournalistic approach is perfectly imperfect, using both 35mm film and digital with the final product being heirloom-quality prints.
our time together will feel calm and fun, like old friends catching up with a coffee and wander through the park or local city highlights. if you're not terribly comfortable in front of the camera, we can capture special moments at home where you feel most confident.
what is your most popular package?
07.
this is a tough one because i cater each of my sessions to my clients. the radical nuance experience was created first and foremost around capturing joy and community — but not to be just saved on a hard drive somewhere. i aim to photograph the qualities that make you, you. and to then see these pieces hung proudly. this is really what it's all about, and i have designed packages to bring your gallery wall to life.
once you've chosen your session style and had your photos taken, you will have the option to select your favourite images, print finishes, and frames. most purchase at least ten fine art prints from their session, more-so if gifting to family and friends, and the happy medium styling package for up to four walls.
do you provide raw images?
08.
i do not provide raws unless explicitly agreed upon prior to the session.
09.
what time of day is best to shoot?
we've all heard of golden hour, that dreamy light during sunrise and an hour before sunset. of course this is a photographer favourite, but i am also a lover of bold light, playing with shadows, and adventurous rainy days. either way we will make magic.
what happens if i must reschedule?
10.
should you need a new shoot date or time, get in touch as soon as possible. please note, rescheduling within 7-days of your session is subject to a £25 change fee, rescheduling within 24-hrs is subject to a £75 change fee — unless due to illness or injury. if you're running late, please note additional time will not be added to your session. a full retainer refund requires 30-day cancellation notice.

how can i feel comfortable in front of the camera?
the honest answer? you have to simply let go. just about every portrait i take it of someone who's not comfortable in front of the camera, but this is natural! letting go may not what you wanted to hear but it's normal to feel nervous at any new experience. i work closely with clients to find a location and craft a session that feels most genuine to them, and will do everything in my power to capture you and your family in the best possible light.
if your question wasn't answered, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
